Many options exist for Hemorrhoids Reief. Included are conventional medicine, hemroid treatments at home, surgery, and herbal supplements. The are inevitable for many, but treatment can keep them under control, even prevent them.

Relief for minor hemorrhoids can be found with simple hemorrhoid treatments at home. First, when you have the need for a bowel movement, you go ahead with it. Your body is insisting, so don’t delay.

A constipation reflex can come from resisting even for moments, which might take away the urge for relieving yourself for hours. A major cause of hemorrhoids is constipation, or a problem moving hardened bowels. 30 seconds of straining is too long when you move your bowels.

Don’t rub with toilet paper excessively when you are on the toilet. But you should always make sure the area is clean. Be gentle as you wipe, and clean more by showering or bathing without soap. Soap may lead to further skin irritation. If you can’t bathe, try disposable baby wipes to make sure the area is clean. Don’t aggravate the area by scrubbing and rubbing.

Don’t sit for long periods of time. Sitting for too long might make veins in your rectum area expand, leading to flareups. Keep the area dry to prevent infections. Sprinkle baby powder on the area, or put absorbent strips of cotton between your cheeks, for the absorption of moisture, this can bring fast hemorrhoids relief.

Diet is important for hemorrhoid prevention and relief. Hemorrhoids can be prevented with dietary and lifestyle changes. Change what you drink and eat to prevent constipation and relieve painful symptoms.

Lower the pH balance of stools. Avoid wine, beer, soda pop, coffee, and citrus fruits and drinks. Drink a lot of water, because it acts as a natural laxative. The human body is 70% water. Drinking a lot of water will soften your stool, leading to easier bowel movements.

Also consume soups and juices, and a high fiber diet for bulky, soft stools. Stay away from foods low in fiber, like cheese, ice cream, and processed foods.

Use an ice pack or take a sitz bath for hemorrhoids relief. An ice pack will reduce inflammation. Apply it for ten minutes, several times daily. A sitz bath, which is just a warm bath, will also help. Moist heat is therapeutic and will give you great hemorrhoids relief.

Often, fixative procedures are tried for hemorrhoids relief. Fixative treatments try to lower blood supplied to the area, hopefully shrinking the hemorrhoid. Fixative procedures do not need surgery. Usually it means tying the hemorrhoid off with rubber bands. The affected tissue is scarred with lasers or heat, or chemicals are used to shrink them.
